Space Capsule Cat Backpack with Clear Bubble Window, Up to 15 Lbs

Cats are curious, and most carriers leave them staring at fabric walls. This space capsule cat backpack has a clear front shell and a domed bubble window, so your cat can watch the world go by while you walk, ride or wait at the vet. It's the classic "astronaut cat" backpack that gets smiles on the sidewalk. It also lets you check on your cat with a quick glance over your shoulder.

Your Cat's Window Seat

The front of the backpack is made of hard, transparent PC plastic, so your cat has a wide view instead of a mesh peephole. A rounded bubble dome sticks out from the front panel, giving your cat a spot to poke its head into and look around. Rows of air holes along the shell and a mesh panel on the side let air in. The back of the bag is polyester fabric, so the side against your body is soft rather than rigid plastic.

The Bubble Window Comes Off

The dome attaches to the front window with a fixing ring. To install it, place the ring around the dome, press it against the window and turn the ring clockwise until it locks, then press around the edge to seat it firmly. You can take it off the same way, which is handy for cleaning or when you want a flatter front for storage.

Important to Know Before You Head Out

The clear plastic shell lets sunlight straight through, so the inside can warm up quickly on hot or sunny days. Keep outings short in warm weather, walk in the shade when you can, and never leave your cat in the backpack in direct sun or a parked car. Check on your cat often through the window.

Frequently Asked Questions

How big a cat fits in this space capsule backpack?

It's rated for cats under 15 lbs and measures 35 x 25 x 42 cm (13.8 x 9.8 x 16.5 in). Your cat should be able to sit and turn around comfortably, so check its length as well as its weight.

Can the bubble window be removed?

Yes. The dome is held on by a fixing ring that twists clockwise to lock. Rotate the ring back to remove the dome for cleaning or storage, then twist it on again when you're ready.

Is the bubble backpack good for hot weather?

Be careful in warm weather. The clear shell lets sunlight in, so the inside can heat up. Use it for shorter trips, stay in the shade, and check on your cat regularly.
